After many discussions with company HR we finally got permission to go to India on vacation as per our contract.(even though the period has been shortened to 15 days from earlier committed 22 days due to recession,H1N1,etc etc)...In between we never been thought that we are going back to India after 1 year...But thanks to our coordinator chawla san for his continuous attempt.... Finally, it was D day..we all waiting for this day from the last 1 year..Today is the day where we all again going to become true Indians from aliens..yes...today is the day where we are going to our home country India to enjoy the vacation.
We a batch of now 10 people all set for our journey to India.purchased many gift items (even though most of them are "made in china" tag on them) from the last 1 month..Got up early in the morning at 4AM..and began our start of the journey at 5:50AM from the Aliens Hostel...Since we have already couriered our baggage's 2 days earlier to the Narita Airport,we haven't got much luggage now to carry along with us apart from handbags...Being accustomed to Japanese life style from the past 1 year, we have managed to reach the Railway station(Hamamatsu eki) 15 minutes before the departure time(6:17AM) of the shinkansen(kodama)...As it was early in the morning and moreover its a holiday,there wasn't much people waiting for the train as it would be on rush working hours.After some group photo sessions we boarded into the Bullet train.The train started at 6:17AM...On the journey some of people were sharing their schedule in india and some started dreaming their stay in India by closing their eyes and some people were having nice time with listening to the music from the ipods.At around 8:01AM the train reached the Tokyo station..There we have got 29minutes to change the another train which will take us to the final destination "Narita Airport Terminal 2"..Since Tokyo station is very large and confusing,reached the platform on time by asking with the people.Embarked into the Narita Express train...since we have reserved our seats during the booking of the tickets there wasn't any problem in getting seat.After around 50min of journey we reached the Narita Airport terminal 2 at around 9:28AM.After claiming the luggage's which we have couriered 2 days back went for boarding tickets and luggage checking.Getting the boarding pass,next went for security check where the staff checked me twice for security as the red light flickered as i passed the scanning gate.After the security check,we all entered into Duty free shops where we could fine many many shops selling gift items,fashion dresses,liquor items etc etc...someone put forward the idea of purchasing liquor items and some people showed interests in gift items.After doing some window shopping,the time in my watch showed 11:15AM,so started walking towards the terminal for boarding.There i could saw giant AIR INDIA flight waiting for us.Took some photos with flight as well as the airport.Finally the ground staff announced the boarding of the flight AI307 (from tokyo to Delhi)..With a prayer to god for safe and happy journey, entered into the flight.And the flight started taking off at 12:00PM.After traveling about 8hours we landed the Delhi New Airport terminal at 4:30PM (IST)..The outside temperature was 35degrees...!!!!! Started feeling the Indian weather once we got off from the flight..There wasn't monsoon started yet...God of rain wasn't showed the pity over the Delhi peoples yet.After collecting the luggage's we came out from the airport.All people started moving towards their home.The family of the friends from Delhi had come to receive their son to their home...Lucky people they could reach home by 1 hour or so..But for me hailing from Karnataka could take at least 13 ~ 14 hours to reach home by shortest way.Since we had a plan to visit Maruti office on way to home,there was no other way than staying in Gurgaon on Saturday and Sunday.So me with Sayi San started moving towards Taxi booking to go to our old friend s house in Gurgaon.As soon as we placed our steps on Indian soil,the clouds were so happy that it started raining.Rain brought down the temperature to lower to some extent giving us the good feeling.After meeting with the friends in Gurgaon went for the party on that night..Ate like we haven't taken the food from the last 1 year.The stomach was filled with the delicious Indian food gave the feeling of going to bed for a nice sleep.
On sunday got up at 8AM,had breakfast after freshening up.Venkatesh came to that house to meet me...he and myself went to meet Narendra who is staying along with his mom in the same residential area.We got warm welcome from aunty and spent happy time over there..and came back, went for shopping in malls with Sayi.We had to do shopping of spicy items for Japan for the next 1 year,it took us around 3 hours to finish the shopping.Before going to shopping we had booked tickets for watching the Hindi movie "New York" at 8:30PM show...But we are managed to finish our shopping's at 8:00PM..With kind help from Kiran could manage to reach the theater 8:45PM...!!!! Even though missed some important initial scene from the movie,it took us some time to get along the movie.The movie was good, giving nice story and concept with tragedy ending..!!!! The movie was based on the 9/11 terror attach on WTC in america.After finishing the movie went back to home and packed the purchased items neatly.and got into sleep.
On next day got up early since i have to go to office.In office i could see many new faces and few known faces waiting for an escape from the company.After meeting colleagues and friends in the office,came back to home to get ready to catch flight to Bengaluru at 3:00PM...Reached Bengaluru at 5:30PM and from Bengaluru airport took the bus to go to Majestic to catch bus to my Home(Kokkarne,in Udupi Dist) which takes 9~10hours.Finally i could reach my sweet home on tuesday morning at 8:00AM...This gave me feeling of achieving the final destination...i could clearly feel the difference in my feelings as i reached home.Even though there wasn't much change in the village after one year,it still made me so comfortable and homely feeling that i never get in other place of the world...
